The PFC input stage increases efficiency over the previous auto-switching technology. It eliminates the dead spot between 110 and 220 VAC input, allowing the power supply to run continuously from 85 to 264 VAC at 45 to 65 Hz. Heavy input and output filtering also reduce EMI to deficient levels to prevent radio interference.
